Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
We go through a three-year cycle – Old Testament, New Testament, and Bible Overview – to help our Sunday School children learn about God’s Word. In our weekly lessons, depending on the grade, children will participate in a large group teaching with music, as well as crafts and games. Through teaching from faithful Sunday School teachers and interactions with their peers in God’s Word, it is our hope that all of our children know they are created by God for a purpose, saved by Jesus Christ through His death on the cross, and guided each day by the Holy Spirit to walk a faithful life!
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12:1, our theme verse of Sunday School this year.
It was so successful last year that the Sunday School Store will be opening up again this coming year of Sunday School! Many familiar items will be in the store along with some new ones. Students will have the opportunity to earn OlymBUCKS in their classrooms, for attendance, class participation, and for bringing a friend along. Once they’ve earned OlymBUCKS, they can use them to purchase items in the Sunday School Store.
This year we have the unique opportunity to adopt a suite at Shelter from the Storm Ministries! Throughout the year, we will collect funds to supply basic household items (bathroom and kitchen supplies, children’s room supplies, etc.) for a new family who will move in sometime early 2025. Not only do we get to serve an organization with the collected funds this year, but we also get to be physically involved as well!
Raising your child in the faith is one of the most important things you can do. But you aren’t called to do it alone! Whether your child is still in diapers or almost out of the house, they have a place in the family of God here!
